


Monster Colour FAQs
What is The Monster Colour Run?
It's a fun run/walk that combines our love of physical activity with friends and family, with colourful decritive inflatables and a lot of colour powder and a dance party. This event is a refreshing run/walk that is meant for people of all ages and fitness levels. You bring a positive attitude and we’ll bring the fun!

Age limits and cost.
There is no age limit. Children under 5 are free but will not receive an event package unless they are registered as LITTLE MONSTER package. All participants must register through the online registration system. The cost of the child’s event package is $20 (plus system fee) This package can change form event to event so check out the registration page for more info. Children under 8 must be accompanied by a ticketed parent or guardian that is registered for the event and must remain with their parent/guardian at all times.

Is there a bag drop?
There is no bag check for this event.

Can I use jogging strollers and wagons?
Bring ‘em on! Just no bicycles, scooters, etc. Please note that event courses will vary at each location and that not all pathways will be paved. There may be hills and occasions of running on grass or dirt.
What else should I bring?
A positive attitude and a big smile! We also suggest you bring sunglasses, sunscreen, water bottle. It is a good idea to bring a snack too.
Please note that there will not be a bag check at the event.

Can I run with my Dog?
We love dogs, but this Run is canine free. Sorry

Is there a charitable aspect to The Run?
Yes! All of our events are organized in partnership with local charities. You can find more information about the charity by clicking on the Charity Partner link on the registration page.

Is the run timed?
This is a non-competitive run/walk and it is not timed. This event is about having fun and getting fresh air and exercise. If you’d like to clock your time we encourage you to use your favourite running app or watch!

Refund policy?
We do not offer refunds even if we need to postpone, cancel or modify the event! How ever we do want to help out if we can with the following options.

Transfers

You may exchange your ticket for a different Monster Colour Run in a different location. There will be a $15 fee for this transfer.

You can sell your ticket, please note that there will be a $15 fee charged to the new participant for each ticket.

You can requests to transfer your ticket to next years event. There will be a $15 fee for this transfer.

Event Cancellation
We try not to cancel events, however, we have learned there are a few reasons cancellations happen. Our most common reasons are unsafe site conditions, pandemics, or local emergencies. Unfortunately, we cannot control the weather, however, for most events, we are dedicated to moving forward with an event as long as it is deemed safe to do so. Regardless of the reason for the cancellation, our cancellation policy is:

Cancellation notification: Participants and volunteers will receive an email notification within two hours of the decision to cancel the event. Updates as to the event status will also be posted on Facebook event page.

Event postponement!
If we cannot run the event as planned we will try to postpone and give our registered participants the following options:
Postponement to next year's event: All participants will automatically have their registration transferred to the next year's event. To activate the ticket for next year's event there will be an activation fee of $15 per ticket. We charge this fee to help cover our event costs as most proceeds from ticket sales are spent in event preparation.
Transfer to another event: Participants can choose to attend an event in a different location and there will be $15 transfer fee for this option.
Weather policies!
The event will go ahead rain, shine, or snow as long as it is deemed safe to so. In case of severe weather such as storms or extreme winds, the event will first be delayed until the weather clears, postponed until another day, or canceled altogether.
While we always aim to move forward with the event, we reserve the right to; alter components of the course for safety, delay run times, postpone or cancel the event. We also reserve the right to cancel when a facility, municipality or law enforcement deems it necessary.
Adverse weather: As stated in the weather policy there are no refunds due to adverse weather. In the event that weather or other unforeseeable conditions are deemed by the event organizers and/or City Officials to be potentially hazardous to participants, and staff, the organizers reserve the right to postpone the start time or cancel the event outright. Cancellation of the event may take place either prior to the start of the event or at any time while the event is taking place.
